SSC CHSL Vacancy 2024 Salary Structure

  • LDC/Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA): Pay Level-2 (Rs. 19,900-63,200)
  • DEO: Pay Level-4 (Rs. 25,500-81,100) and Level-5 (Rs. 29,200-92,300)
  • DEO, Grade ‘A’: Pay Level-4 (Rs. 25,500-81,100)

SSC CHSL 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit: 18 to 27 years as of 01-08-2024

Educational Qualification: 12th Standard pass or equivalent from a recognized Board or University

Selection Procedure SSC CHSL CBT Examination 2024

Candidates need to pass through two tiers of Computer Based Examinations: Tier-I and Tier-II.

Tier-I Examination:

The Tier-I Examination consists of Objective Type, Multiple Choice Questions.

It covers subjects like 

  • English Language (25 Question 50 Marks), 
  • General Intelligence (25 Question 50 Marks)
  • Quantitative Aptitude (25 Question 50 Marks)
  • and General Awareness (25 Question 50 Marks).

The total marks for Tier-I are 200, with 100 questions.

There is a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.

The time duration for Tier-I is 60 minutes (80 minutes for candidates eligible for a scribe).

Tier-II Examination:

Candidates who qualify Tier-I need to appear for Tier-II.

Tier-II includes a typing test/skill test.

In Session I, there are MCQ-type questions, while in Session II, there’s a typing test/ skill test to assess typing speed and skill.

Normalization of Scores:

If Tier-I Examination is conducted in multiple shifts, the marks scored by candidates will be normalized using the formula published by the Commission.

Normalized scores will be used to determine final merit and cut-off marks.

Final Selection:

Candidates who qualify both Tier-I and Tier-II examinations are considered for final selection based on merit and cut-off marks.
